Upcoming RPG Vampyr gets a new trailer

Following the conclusion of the four-part mini-series, Dontnod Studios, the makers of critically-acclaimed video game series The Life is Strange, continued the tease for their upcoming action role-playing title Vampyr by releasing a new trailer for the game.

The trailer, simply named Vampyr – Story Trailer, seems to show the beginning of the game in which the game’s main protagonist Jonathan E. Reid, doctor and a newb vampire, wakes up in an abandoned building and starts recalling past events leading to the realization of his newly acquired traits. Along with the discovery of super human abilities which come with being a vampire, Dr. Reid must also face the desire for blood and resist the bloodlust in order to stay true to his professional calling and, presumably, his Hippocratic Oath.

The released trailer also shows that Dr. Reid is not the only vampire in the early 20th Century London and that there are others, some of whom live normal, human-like lives, while others resemble and act more like beasts then men, with their sole goal being the acquisition of a fresh pool of blood.

With the developers having promised massive amount of freedom and the ability to finish the game without having Dr. Reid committing a single murder, balancing between ethical and moral dilemmas is sure to be an essential part the gameplay as we can see from the theme of the first story trailer.

Vampyr is set to be released on June 5th for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox.
